Take the power back home.
- Plug in and charge overnight for a full charge in the morning.
- Take advantage of cheaper night time electricity rates
- Save trips to public charging stations with home charging

You can preserve the battery most effectively by keeping the charge level between 20% and 80% and not charging the battery more often than is necessary.

Audi recommends this because it preserves the battery and therefore has a positive effect on the battery lifespan.

The best way to preserve the battery is to keep the factory default setting (80%).

You can preserve the battery most effectively by keeping the charge level between 20% and 80%. It is better not to charge the battery more often than is necessary.

The vehicle can be operated within the limits described in the Owner’s Manual.

Many factors can affect the range:namely, environment, weather, weight, aerodynamics, rolling resistance, and drivingstyle. But the cars have a sophisticated system that always calculates the remaining range based in the actual conditions.

Yes, the Audi e-tron models regenerate whilst driving and braking.

The SOH of your battery can be diagnosed by your Audi Partner. Please consult your Audi Partner for further details.

The battery can be repaired. Only for very few cases the entire battery must be replaced. For further details, please contact your dealer.

As a general rule, extra weight and additional resistance (drag and rolling resistance) have a negative effect on range.

Chemical processes occurring inside the battery are temperature-dependent. In addition to this, any functions which areactivated (lights, heating, air conditioning, battery temperature control) reduce the range.

You can find out the exact costs for repairing or renewing the battery for example from your Audi Service Partner.

The charging capacity depends on the temperature due to chemical processes occurring within the battery.

This depends strongly on the charging capacity, charging equipment, battery charge level, temperature, etc.

The system prevents the battery from being fully discharged. Before the battery is fully discharged, it is switched off automatically. Corresponding warnings are of course shown beforehand on the display.

The range displayed is calculated using the battery charge level, the current thermal conditions and recent consumption figures. Due to the high efficiency of the vehicle and the electric drive system, any driving resistance has a disproportionately large effect compared to a vehicle with combustion engine. The range is influenced in particular by the following factors: Thermal conditions (cold/heat) - Driving / Speed - Road conditions, Additional energy consumers (heating, seat heating, rear window heating, air conditioning) - Load (passengers, luggage) - Side winds and head winds.

1. Anticipate the traffic situation and keep an eye on your speed.
2. Use the “efficiency” mode of drive select as it is designed for particularly economical driving.
3. Check the ride height set for the vehicle. You can reduce the ride height, thereby reducing aerodynamic drag, by selecting the Audi drive select mode “sport” or “efficiency”.
4. Be aware of additional energy consumers.
5. The air conditioner, radio, headlights and heated rear window also use energy from the battery.
6. Avoid driving with add-on parts such as roof racks if you do not need to use them.
7. Use the eco setting for tyre inflation pressures.
8. Use the pre-heating/pre-cooling function (programming of departure time) if the vehicle is still plugged in at the charging station.
9. Use range mode (restricted operation).

The menu item “Charging...” can be used to see the precise charge level of the battery as a percentage. This can be found in the MMI menu under “Vehicle/Charging & efficiency”.The charging slider, with which you can define the charging target, is also shown there. It is also possible to assign this sub-menu to the shortcut menu by pressing and holding it, and also to the app (at the top level).

High-voltage batteries contain a number of valuable raw materials such as cobalt, lithium and nickel.

The Audi e-tron models' operating strategy is designed to incorporate the individual driving situation into the recuperation strategy and thus to achieve benefits in terms of convenience and efficiency. As a general rule, coasting is the most efficient method, which means that braking is not performed unless it is necessary. If it is necessary to slow the vehicle down, this can be performed using one of three methods which always use recuperation. 1. When the function is used in automatic mode, the electric brake servo distributes the requested braking performance automatically between the electric motors and the disc brakes. As a rule, all braking procedures at a deceleration rate of up to 3 m/s are only performed using recuperation. 2. The automatic, variable recuperation function reduces the vehicle’s speed using recuperation according to the traffics ituation, e.g. when a vehicle in front brakes. It also takes action according to stored route data if e.g. corners or town signs are detected. You can switch this function on or off on the MMI. 3. When manual recuperation is selected, the braking effect of recuperation can be controlled manually. There are three recuperation levels which can be selected via the paddle levers on the steering wheel. Pulling the left paddle leverincreases the braking effect of recuperation, while pulling the right paddle lever reduces it.

There are certain conditions under which recuperation is not possible. For example, recuperation is not possible in the following circumstances:1. If the battery is fully charged. 2. If the system as a whole is too cold or hot. At low speeds, the vehicle is only brought to a stop using the wheel brakes.

95 kWh is the high-voltage battery’s maximum energy capacity. The usable energy contained in the battery (net capacity) is 83.9 kWh. For reasons of durability, only part of the battery is used. It is therefore not possible to discharge the battery completely.

The expected consumption is calculated on the basis of a specified driving profile in a specific climate and under specific geographical conditions. Any discrepancies in these conditions result in a different consumption; some conditions may even result in better consumption.

All electrical charging processes involve a charge loss, for which 10% is around the normal level.

The POI shows the charging station’s maximum charging capacity. However, the AC charging capacity possible for the vehicle is taken into account when calculating the route.

The battery cell for the Audi e-tron is being supplied by LG Chem and by Samsung SDI.

As we do not have any direct business relationships with raw material producers, we have integrated corresponding sustainability requirements into our supply contracts. In December 2017, we revised the guideline for the acquisition of sustainable raw materials. In addition to the existing requirements such as adherence to clearly defined work, environmental and safety standards along with human rights, this explicitly and strictly forbids child labour and forced labour in any form when mining raw materials such as cobalt or mica. We take any evidence of violations of our sustainability requirements very seriously and pursue these immediately and forcefully. We are in constant contact with our battery cell suppliers in order to bring transparency into our supply chain. The provenance of the materials is validated by Group purchasing via external audits. This involves checking supply documents in the supply chain up to the mine itself along with a check as to whether the suppliers have established processes regarding the duty of care along the supply chain. If discrepancies with our requirements are identified, specific plans of action are agreed with the suppliers. As part of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), the VW Group is collaborating on a certification system for cobalt smelting to improve the mining conditions and to be able to prove where the material used for its batteries comes from. In addition, Audi is also an active member of the Global Battery Alliance of the World Economic Forum. This alliance of public and private sector partners from the entire battery supply chain wishes to ensure the social and ecological sustainability of the value chain for battery raw materials. To do this, the Global Battery Alliance is concerned with, for example, the general conditions in the mining of raw materials.
